What a friend we have in Jesus!

Life, Wealth, Money and pleasure are all fruits of same tree. They don't last and are not always there when we need them most. Imagine a graduate dying during his/her NYSC or after getting a well paid Job. Imagine the father or mother

who had struggled to train his/her son/daughter just to die prior to the time of reaping from their labour. But amidst this Scenario, There is a Man who stands to assure us that we can depend on Him. He assures us of peace, comfort and security for all who trust's in Him.Joseph M. Scriven, (1820-1886) has this to say about Him;

1. What a friend we have in Jesus,

all our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry

everything to God in prayer!

O what peace we often forfeit,

O what needless pain we bear,

all because we do not carry

everything to God in prayer.

2. Have we trials and temptations?

Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged;

take it to the Lord in prayer.

Can we find a friend so faithful

who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness;

take it to the Lord in prayer.

3. Are we weak and heavy laden,

cumbered with a load of care?

Precious Saviour, still our refuge;

take it to the Lord in prayer.

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?

Take it to the Lord in prayer!

In his arms he'll take and shield thee;

thou wilt find a solace there.

So cheer up friend, embrace Jesus and be sure of victory, security, abundant life, prosperity, freedom from sin, witchcraft, demonic possession and addiction.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, I receive you today into my life, come and be Lord over my Life. Thank you for coming into my Life. Now Lord, save and deliver me from (confess and mention your sins to him). Hallelujah am saved! thank you JESUS!

Challenge: Now you are born-again, Jesus says-"go and sin no more". You can live without sin! yes you can! join a bible believing church, get a copy of God's word, listen to preachings of men of God and pray to God through Jesus all the time. till Jesus Come, be blessed. May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and Sweet Fellowship of the Holy Spirit rest and Abide with You now and for ever more!
