Fruits meet for repentance

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: (Matthew 3 vs. 8)

What happened here was that after the Pharisees and Sadducees came to repentance and the baptism of John. John was amazed on the turnout of this law conscious but lawless sect. He immediately reproved them warning them also on the need to follow Jesus with a clear conscience and a good heart. Thus, he called them to a hearty piety or fanatical as the world had tagged it years gone by.
Fruits meet for repentance means living a right and just life just a Jesus lived while walking on the planet earth. The moment a person comes to Christ; there is the spirit of power, the Holy Spirit according to John’s gospel chapter 1 vs. 12 given to the individual in measure. Since a genuine conversion had taken place, the individual stops all outward sin and the fruits of the Spirit will become manifest in his/her life.
This was exactly what the apostle Paul referred to as …the firstfruits of the Spirit, …. (Romans 8 vs. 23). Now this firstfruits is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatian 5 vs. 22-23).
On the other scale, the works of the flesh are manifest according to vs. 19-21. Both are contrary one to another. Both cannot and should not manifest in your life nor be once named among you, as becometh saints; (Ephesians 5 vs. 3).
A song writer puts it this way-¬¬¬ “Am a new creature, I’m a brand new man. Old things are passed away, am born again. More than a conqueror, that’s who I am. Am a new creature, am a brand new man. Once genuine conversion takes place, ….old things are passed away; behold all things …become new. (2 corinthians 5 vs. 17).
All things must become new, new and new. Beloved, if all things have not become new yet, fall again on your knees now and cry out unto the Lord like Jacob at Jabbok (Genesis 32 vs. 22-26). “ I will never let thee go Lord unless everything becomes new, new and new. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. (1Thessealonians 5 vs. 24).

VICTORY SONG
There is a great change since am born again (4x)
The things I used to wear, I wear them no more. The things I used to eat, I eat them no more. The things I used to drink, I drink them no more. There is a great change since am born again.
There is a great change since am born again (4x)
The friends I used to have, I have them no more, the places we used to go, I go there no more. The things we used to do, I do them no more for there is a great change since am born-again. There is a great change since am born again (4x). Amen
